Summer solstice
It's always a little bittersweet when June 21st rolls around.
Today is the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere - in my opinion, it's one day that definitely should be a public holiday.
I live in Scotland, where the sun rose at 04:26 am and will set at 10:03pm tonight - the day is about an hour longer than where I grew up in Germany, and it feels noticeably longer to me. It stays light for so long that it barely feels like it gets dark at all, if you're awake for long enough. Of course, the days are shorter in the winter here - even more reason to make the most of the long days in the summer.
It's always a little bittersweet when June 21st rolls around. One part of me is thinking finally, finally, it's the longest day of the year, and the other part is aware that from tomorrow, I'll already be counting down to this day next year!
Anyway, here is the comic I wrote today.
