February Diary Comics
Dancing in the kitchen, and hedgehogs
Hello,
I've been trying hard to get back into the practice of recording my life in diary comics. It feels a lot like riding a bike after not having done it for a while - I know I can do it, I just don't have the confidence to glide effortlessly.
Firstly, here's a standard autobiographic comment about doing the washing up (write what you know, etc.).

The second one is a bit weirder. Recently, one of my colleagues was talking about the fairytale Hans mein Igel. It's a fairytale that was collected by the Brothers Grimm. I had actually never heard of this one, but my colleague happily educated me: the fairytale follows the life of a half-hedgehog, half-human boy named Hans. He eventually sheds his hedgehog skin and turns human after winning a princess (classic!). This led to us speculating what would be worse: the top part being hedgehog, or the bottom part? And it the hedgehog half proportional to the human half, or the size of a real hedgehog?
I created some handy sketches to illustrate this dilemma.

They're all horrifying in their own ways!
Here's to hoping I stay fully human,
L x
